MiniFRC is back, and this time better than before!
We are planning to hold another competition, on Saturday, December 3, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The location of the competition is: 3106 NC Highway 54, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. More instructions will be sent about load in and competition viewing later in the month.
If you’ve never heard of MiniFRC before, it’s essentially a quarter-scale FRC competition where small Arduino powered robots compete in a tiny version of Stronghold. Here is the competition we held in June:
A small list of improvements that have been made:
- Improved game field and elements
- Better Bluetooth management
- More comprehensive instructions for building and programming a basic robot (see “Robot Build Resources” below)
- Better livestream
Rules
The basic idea of MiniFRC is Stronghold quarter-scale, but some additional tweaks to the rules were needed for everything to make sense, so here’s an official list of changes.
Registration
Please register each MiniFRC team with this form.
We recommend that if possible, teams larger than five people split into multiple teams. This is not a requirement, though, and larger teams will be allowed to compete.
The list of registered teams can be found here.
Updates
Updates concerning the competition and other information will be posted on the updates document.
Q&A
We are also holding a running Q&A where you can ask questions which event organizers will answer: View the Q&A or ask a question.
Robot Build Resources:
- Buyer’s guide
- Basic build guide
- Default driver station and robot code
- Software Installation Instructions
Our team is very excited to be hosting another MiniFRC competition, and we hope to see you there.
